Kathy Greene, MSW
Senior Vice President, Programs and Services Integration
Kathy Greene was attracted to Silverado just nine months after the first community opened because it was the first time she had witnessed an environment where memory care was done right. She describes it as “a relationship-centered approach in which the goal was not just to provide care, but to care about people”.
She has spent the past 20 years leading teams responsible for breaking down barriers for people with memory impairment. Today, Kathy’s role is to infuse the company’s culture across Memory Care, Hospice and Home Care by inspiring people and enhancing processes that drive Silverado’s success.
An instrumental part of shaping Silverado culture over the years are many of the initiatives Kathy implemented and optimized – from globally-recognized intergenerational programing within a memory care setting, to a leadership style anchored by storytelling and a commitment to changing lives for the better.
Kathy, a formally trained social worker, has worked in a variety of settings, including skilled nursing, assisted living and county service agencies. Each step of the way, she has remained dedicated to making a difference in the lives of seniors and their families.
Photography, travel and an interest in observing people and human behavior are among Kathy’s greatest passions in life.
