R Family's Story
Our family was faced with deciding the appropriate level of care for our Mother after she recovered from a fall and broken arm. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's several years ago but had been managing in a more independent living situation that provided meals. This was no longer an option. We wanted our Mother to live where she not only received the overall care that was required but where the staff was caring and treated people with respect. We wanted her to have an environment where she could feel good about being there and not just be a room number. From the first time we visited Silverado, we knew this was the place. As a family, we felt comfortable. The staff was very knowledgable and was sensitive to what we were going through. The environment was friendly and welcoming but, at the same time, it was efficient and had the highest standards of health care. Our observations of the staff with each resident is that they truly care and respect each individual person. They know exactly what their needs are and the best way to engage and protect them. As a family, we can breathe easy that our Mother is receiving the very best. She is happier and more social than we have seen her in a lot of years and for that we are very, very thankful.
