Helping increase understanding and celebrating the efforts of caregivers

In the United States there are an estimated 5 million people with Alzheimer’s disease and more than 15 million Alzheimer's and dementia caregivers. As the population ages and the number of people with this terrible disease grows, awareness plays a key role in how we will meet the rising challenge.

This November is National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month and National Caregiver Month, a time to increase understanding of the disease and celebrate the dedication and tireless efforts of those who care for the people afflicted.

From fundraising events such as the Walk to End Alzheimer’s to activities recognizing the efforts of caregivers, Silverado is marking November by placing an even greater emphasis than usual on efforts to enrich the lives of those affected by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

Awareness is the first step to a cure, and our combined efforts are the first step to awareness.
