Silverado Residents Enjoy Summer Festivities
By Crystal Gattis, Silverado Valley Ranch
June and July have been busy months at Silverado Valley Ranch! Father’s Day was an opportunity to honor the men of our community. The festivities included a Father’s Day Picnic in the Valley Ranch lobby. Our Engagement Team provided decorations of red and white table cloths and balloons. All in attendance enjoyed a grilled hamburger basket with a side of potato salad prepared by our Culinary Team.
On Father’s Day, a few men also had the opportunity to go on a fishing outing. Camping chairs, snacks, fishing poles and bait were all packed up in the Silverado van. The group traveled to a pond located at one of our sister properties. There were a few nibbles, but nothing was caught except a few good memories and some great pictures.
Independence Day was celebrated in grand style! Residents wore red, white & blue hats and made a large, sparkly American flag to decorate the reception desk. Celebratory snacks included s’mores and blue & red beer. Entertainment was provided by Rhonda Medina who performed a musical patriotic tribute.
