Silverado is hosting a weekly educational series to help you face the challenges of caring for your loved one. This is a complimentary program and may also be a great support system as you meet others that are facing similar challenges.

Learn about the common types of dementia specifically Alzheimer’s disease and how it affects a person‘s functional and mental abilities.

Learn ways to improve communication with those with dementia and increased understanding of the message for both parties.

Identify behaviors that are found in dementia and understand what is being communicated through those behaviors.

What to do when the “caring” is gone.

Review the stages of grief, mourning and bereavement.
