NFL 49er Alumni Join Silverado Belmont Hills and Bay Area At Home
Like so many special moments that happen around the country in Silverado communities, yet another amazing moment this morning occurred when we hosted more that 45 guests. They gathered to hear Elizabeth Edgerly, PhD, Chief Program Officer for Northern CA and Northern NV's Alzheimer's Association educate the audience about Alzheimer's, dementia and CTE. The guests just happen to be many retired players of the San Francisco 49ers and their families. Also joining us in the audience were Jennifer Merrilees, RN, PhD, Clinical Nurse Specialist at UCSF's Memory and Aging Center and Dr. Joshua Kreiss, Adult Neurologist.
Kiel Stromgren, At Home Administrator, continues to lead Silverado in Northern California with his relationship with Larry Schreiber, President of the Bay Area NFL Alumni Association. In addition, Veronica Arellano, Belmont Hills Administrator, and her entire team did an incredible job with planning every detail and hosting the event.
Following brunch and our presentations, everyone stayed to talk and tour! There were several special moments, but I was touched to speak with the wife and daughters of our newest NFL resident to Belmont, Jerry Mertens. They say he is a completely different person. They appreciated Keil's swift actions and the compassion and professionalism of Veronica's team.
Testimonial: "Silverado Belmont Hills is a beautiful place, and it fits my sister's needs because she likes to walk outside."
