On behalf of Gerald's family, I wanted to extend our sincerest thanks for the respect, compassion, and nurturing care you provided Jerry for nearly five years. As you know, he passed away last Sunday morning. We were so touched by the dignity with which you cared for Jerry and the genuine feeling that you expressed at his passing.
Rosa, thank you for the years you spent with Jerry looking after him and preserving his dignity during the time in his life when he must have felt most coarse. His final days were made far better by the tending of his tireless and courageous caregivers, Christopher, Elody and David. Thank you equally for caring for Brad and me during Jerry's final moments. To Cathy, who made sure Brad and I wanted for nothing during the time we stayed at Silverado with Jerry as he prepared to leave us, thank you.
We thank, from the bottoms of our hearts, Jerry's nurses, Eva, Tracy, Najah, and Fatima, who diligently and compassionately saw that he did not suffer or fret, and who each expressed her own personal sadness for his passing, thank you. To Maira and Don, who both helped us understand what Jerry was going through and for offering us comfort as well, we thank you.
Etta and Beau, thank you for offering a caring and watchful eye over jerry for the many years he was with you at Silverado. We extend our sincerest thanks to all who made Jerry's time at Silverado a little bit nicer and who treated him with patience and compassion. We apologize for not mentioning you all by name, but please know that you are appreciated and revered for doing truly important and spiritual work.
May you all find the blessings intended for you; may you find yourselves in fortune's way; may you never be in need of the kindness you showed our beloved father.
With gratitude and respect,
Brad and Joie
