Testimonial: "Everyone went out of their way to make my mother feel she was well cared for and at home."
"My mother, Audrey Rappoport, became a Silverado resident in 2012. Although she was resistant at first, within a few months, mom settled into her routine. Sometimes she would dine in her room, other times the dining room. She made friends with several staff members, who took incredibly good care of her. Whether a nurse, aide, doctor, dining room helper, even janitorial, everyone went out of their way to make my mother feel she was well cared for and at home.
We went through a lot at Silverado. Two years ago, mom went on Silverado Hospice care and made a remarkable recovery. Unfortunately, the progressive Alzheimer's disease combined with a bout of heart issues caused her final decline. I turned to Silverado Hospice care and, combined with staff at Silverado Encinitas, my mother's final passing was managed in a dignified, respectful, loving manner. It was a very emotionally moving process. I'm so very grateful to Silverado for all they did for my mom and family.
I have repeatedly thanked staff and hospice personnel for their loving care they provided my mother. I remember shopping facilities years ago, it was a very difficult process. We eventually decided on Silverado in Encinitas. After almost eight years of care, I know our family made the right decision. If you are considering a facility for memory care of a loved one, I strongly recommend the Silverado Encinitas facility and the Silverado Hospice care."
