Testimonial: "Silverado was by far the best choice..."
"When Brenda took a turn for the worse in the summer of 2017 I was unable to care for her at home any longer. We looked carefully for a place where she could be cared for by dedicated, well trained people. What we first found ranged from horrible to unacceptable. Based partly on the advice of a friend whose husband had been at Silverado and on inspection of a number of facilities, we found that Silverado was by far the best choice and placed her there. That was a decision we never regretted.
Brenda was well cared for by people who really were concerned about her and showed her that they cared about how well she was doing and how happy she was. I could not have believed beforehand how well she would be treated and how many chances she would have to enjoy life through various programs and activities. She especially enjoyed walking outside with the ponies and beautiful grounds. Even the meals were much better than would have been expected. I ate there frequently with her.
In June she took another turn for the worse and got wonderful care through her last few days. Her nine months at Silverado had been the best possible place for her to live and enjoy life as best she could. There were tears among the staff when she passed away and a number of the caregivers were at her funeral. That showed real interest in Brenda and her family.
Some of these people became friends to me also and I continue to visit Silverado to see them."
