District Health Deputy for Congressman Adam Schiff Visits Silverado Hospice
As part of Silverado's ongoing effort to urge congress to protect access to compassionate and high-quality end-of-life care, Mike Aguilera — District Health Deputy for Congressman Adam Schiff, representing California's 28th district — was invited to a special Silverado Hospice tour and presentation. During his Tuesday, September 17th visit, the Silverado team provided Mr. Aguilera with valuable information about the role hospice plays in making a positive impact in the community. The visit follows a recent effort during which Silverado leaders joined fellow advocates in Washington, D.C. as part of the Hospice Action Network’s (HAN) Capitol Hill Day 2013. During the meeting, the group encouraged Congress to support the bipartisan HELP Hospice Act (S. 722/H.R. 3506).
