Happy 100th Birthday to Silverado Hospice patient Allen Kramer!
In honor of our hospice patient’s (Allen) 100th Birthday, our volunteer baker made a beautiful chocolate cake that was delivered by our patient’s companionship volunteer, Terry. As Terry arrived, he met with our Hospice Spiritual Counselor, Regi, and Social Worker, Kara. The Silverado Hospice team gathered around the table and sang him "Happy Birthday". Regi then read a Psalm to everyone. Shortly thereafter, friends and family arrived and everyone ate cake and mingled, sharing memories. “The energy in the room was fantastic…what a wonderful gathering of lovely people. As I walked out the door, I was surprised at what I just experienced,”Terry shared.
