Artists with Alzheimers Auction Work

 — Residents of a care facility for seniors with memory impairments auctioned off their art work to raise money for Alzheimer research.

Guest Shelita Weinfield, Margaret Barnes, Silverado resident and artist, and Jean Busher, Silverado Escondido administrator.

Silverado Escondido residents raised more than $1,000 for the San Diego Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association at the center's third annual Wine & Watercolors Mixer and Silent Auction.

More than 30 watercolors that residents painted as part of a class at the care center were auctioned off to a crowd of 100, with bids up to $175.
