Residents help Baby2Baby organize donated clothes

Nexus and Loft residents of Silverado Beverly Place recently visited Baby2Baby, a non-profit organization that aids less fortunate children. There, the residents helped organize several large bins of clothing to be donated to babies and children in need.

The residents were absolutely thrilled to be helping out the community and giving back. They even asked to bring an empty bin back to the community so they could organize their own clothes drive! One of the Loft residents, Sheila, suggested asking families and friends to donate, pointing out that this volunteering event was "one of the best outings [she has] been to because [they were] doing something that matters."

Volunteering events make up one of the pillars of Nexus® at Silverado, our internationally recognized brain health program. Volunteering gives residents that much needed sense of purpose, and the social aspects of these outings give them the feeling of comradery and engagement.
