Testimonial: "We credit the amazing staff with giving my dad nine extra months of a wonderful quality of life..."
"My dad was a resident at Silverado Tustin Hacienda for nine months until he passed away in January 2016. He had previously been at two other facilities that were unable to care for his needs. One even labeled him difficult and non-compliant. My dad had advanced Parkinson's disease, dementia, and fell often. He had a strong desire to be independent and do things on his own.
When he came to Silverado he was very sick, and they nursed him back to health. Our family appreciated the way every employee gave him respect, dignity, and attention. My husband and I live only five minutes away and dropped in frequently at all hours of the day and night. Every time we visited, the staff was friendly and accommodating.
During the day, my dad was always engaged in some type of activity. He particularly enjoyed the many outings they provided. His favorite were the fishing trip to Irvine Lake and the ball game to Angel's Stadium. They were excellent about keeping me informed of any health concerns. The nurses called weekly.
Even though my dad still tried to be independent and walk on his own, the employees were very alert to this and kept him safe. They continually told me what a pleasure he was to have there, and it showed in the way they treated him. We credit the amazing staff with giving my dad nine extra months of a wonderful quality of life he wouldn't have had any where else."
