"So, so happy we chose Silverado Highland Park for my mom. Everyone who works there--from the caregivers to the kitchen staff, the nurses, the receptionists, the wonderful engagement/activities staff to Liz the social worker, Harold the Culinary Director, Marcia the Nursing Director, and Mike the valet--is so friendly and kind. Within a few days of my mom moving in they all knew her and addressed her by name. One of the nurses noticed an issue with my mom on the 2nd day she was there and called me to address it. The kitchen and dining room staff knew what and how much she was eating and made sure to offer her frequent snacks during those first few days of adjustment. There is always something going on there--BINGO, live music, trivia, chair exercise class and more--always something to do or to look at. Family members/friends are welcome to visit anytime and eat there, too. Even pets can visit. 2 of the biggest dogs you've ever seen live there too--which is nice for the residents. We made the difficult decision to move my mom to Silverado and it took a couple of weeks for her to adjust and settle in. Now she is happy and engaged and getting great care. Such a relief! I cannot recommend Silverado highly enough."
