Caregiver Eva Ayala Recognized as a 2014 Caring Champion by

Location : Orchard Park (Morton Grove)

With more than three-dozen extraordinary stories of senior care across America, and nearly 4400 social votes cast, it wasn't easy for to pick the top ten Caring Champions. After much deliberation by's panel of expert judges, they've announced the 2014 winners and Silverado's very own Eva Ayala made the cut!

As a cancer survivor and certified nursing assistant (CNA) who gave up a successful real estate career to follow her true passion, Eva truly has a heart of gold and cares for not only our residents but for her fellow colleagues as well. Administrator Samanatha Jonston shares, "Eva is the kind of person you meet only once in a lifetime. She is one of the most genuine, honest, patient, and warm-hearted people any of us at Silverado Orchard Park have ever had the pleasure of knowing...She is dedicated to the residents she cares for and to their families. She is our hardest worker, and never backs away from a challenge or opportunity".

The impact that Eva has on our residents is impossible to miss. Over and over again, we hear from family members how wonderful she is with their loved one. We hear again and again about the special bond that Eva has with our residents, and that she can get them to smile or laugh in a way that families haven’t seen in a long time. Eva has residents who have long since been isolated up dancing during Happy Hour, painting in our Brushstrokes Club, or walking hand in hand with her through the garden. Families continually thank her for going above and beyond in caring for their loved one and what does Eva say to them? She thanks them for the opportunity to care for their family member.

Congratulations Eva!
