From Hospice to Working Out Twice a Day

Location : Bee Cave

Gary was a hospice patient when he arrived at Silverado Bee Cave. He was not ambulatory. As he laid in his bed, he could hear people participating in activities outside his door and wanted to join them. Each day, he would give himself a new goal. First he worked on standing, then walking, then being able to take back some of his independence. Now, Gary is working out twice a day in the gym at Silverado!

Gary is a whiz at trivia, especially sports and word games, and participates in many of our Nexus activities and some outings. He is truly diligent in maintaining his workouts and even convinces his roommate to join him every morning.
