On July 19th as early as 7:00am the residents of Silverado Cypresswood were anxiously asking associates what time the bus leaves for the baseball game. Their excitement continued to grow as they were all putting on their new Astros gear. As we drove to the amazing Astros stadium, we sang a couple of verses of "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" and "Deep In The Heart Of Texas" to keep the excitement going. As we arrived to the stadium and entered the gates, one resident was overheard saying, "I never in my life thought I would be back here watching my favorite team play again."

The smell of the yummy food and sounds of the ballpark was enjoyed by all. All of our Cypresswood residents, families, and associates were having such a fun time that there was no way we were leaving early. The residents enjoyed drinking beer and eating hot dogs and sweet Blue Bell ice cream. A couple of the men were even featured on the Jumbo Tron with their Astros sign they made that said, "Silverado Loves The Astros!"

The day was made even more special that we could meet our sister communities from the Houston area to cheer on our Houston Astros Team! This was most definitely a day full of making memories with friends and family!
