Celebration of Life

Silverado Hospice North Houston hosted our first annual Celebration of Life ceremony on October 5. Bereaved family members joined our Silverado team at Jesse H. Jones Park and Nature Center to honor deceased loved ones. Family members participated in a 5k run and a 1 mile walk through the nature trails to celebrate their loved ones' lives.

After the run and walk, our wonderful volunteers barbecued a delicious lunch which was followed by an inspirational moment led by Spiritual Care Counselor, Greg Brown, and accompanied by the music from the band, “B Flat”.  Family members had a chance to reminisce and connect with others who also lost a loved one. Due to the event's great success, we have unanimously decided that we will be hosting this ceremony every year!
