Let's Go to the Movies!
In the heat of the Texas summer, there is nothing better than going to a movie in a cool, dark theater. Several Silverado Valley Ranch residents have enjoyed outings to the movies this summer. Accompanied by the children of some of our associates, residents saw Malificent,Planes: Fire and Rescue, Million Dollar Arm and When the Game Stands Tall were also on the viewing list. What would a movie be without snacks? Popcorn, soda, candy and anything else our residents wanted was provided.
When asked about the outings, Allison Arrington, Director of Resident Engagement had a couple things to share. She said that the hardest thing about movie outings is getting out the door on time to make it to our seats BEFORE the lights go down. Allison also shared, “At the end of When the Game Stands Tall the credits rolled and the lights came up and one resident let out a big sigh. With eyes wide, he said ‘You thought it wasn’t gonna happen, you thought it couldn’t happen, but then it did!’ and the other men all agreed and started laughing.”
