Bo and Magnus have been familiar furry faces around the Silverado Valley Ranch community for several years. Both dogs have retired from service and were given a grand celebration to commemorate the event. The party was a howling good time, complete with pupcake, puppy chow (candy coated Chex cereal), hot dogs, and a watering bowl. Both dogs received a gift box with toys and treats. As usual, they loved being the center of attention and received lots of snacks from the attendees.
Both Bo and Magnus are retiring for health reasons. Bo is now living with our Evening Receptionist, Crystal Gattis. He first went to stay with her due to a severe “hot spot” issue. He was diagnosed with an ACL tear in his right, rear knee and he has continued to live with her to allow this injury to heal.
Magnus is now living with our Director of Resident Engagement, Allison Jones. Magnus has a degenerative neurological disorder which is causing him to lose the ability to swallow. He must be hand fed soft food and will benefit from a less demanding lifestyle. We are currently “auditioning” new dogs to fill these very important positions.
Thank you Bo and Magnus for all your years of service at Silverado Valley Ranch. You will be missed!
