There's Magic in the Air
Fun for the young and the young at heart!
Silverado Resident Paul Siegel is a member of The Dallas Magic Club. Paul is pictured above with three club members who came to perform at Silverado Valley Ranch. Paul's daughter, Jodi Clarke, organized the event. Each of the magicians performed a variety of illusions in three distinct styles. They involved residents, associates and the children of some of our associates in the show.
Paul is a true renaissance man. His career has taken him from mechanical engineering, to technology, to real estate and to calligraphy, but one of his life-long passions has been magic. For over 50 years Paul has been a member of The Dallas Magic Club - Society of American Magicians - Assembly 13. He is one of three lifetime members of this organization. Jodi remembers the magicians gathering at their house on Sundays in the 1960s when she was a little girl. She was their enthusiastic audience! Paul would build intricate illusions and was known for levitating people. He was also a master of close up magic work and was featured in the Dallas Morning News Parade magazine. On the day of the Magic Show at Valley ranch, a member of this group of magicians told Jodi, "Your father taught us and treated us so well. He was our mentor."
