Testimonial: "A hidden gem..."
"My father was 92 when he passed in October, but he would have left us much sooner had it not been for the wonderful care at Silverado. While recovering from a small stroke, he had fallen and broken his hip. His dementia was getting worse and no Assisted Living facility could handle his diabetic insulin needs. The Nursing Homes all looked like hospitals and the patients were often left for hours without care. I was so frustrated! Then I found Silverado.
From my first visit, I knew I had found a hidden gem. The care and concern of the staff was so impressive. The homey feel of the facility and their philosophy of treating the patients like family, put me at ease immediately. The caregivers seemed to know all the patients by name, knew what they needed or wanted (even when they couldn’t speak well enough to be understood) and spoke to each patient like a person. No one was left alone. I knew my father would feel comfortable there.
From the beginning of his stay till the day he died, he was treated with dignity, care, concern and love. I will be forever grateful to ALL of the staff for giving my father a chance to live out his life amongst FRIENDS.
