Testimonial: "Reassured that he is cared for and loved"
"Every single interaction I’ve had with anyone from Silverado has been amazing."
Every single interaction I’ve had with anyone from Silverado has been amazing. Amber calls and texts me frequently with pictures of my dad and updates on how he is doing, which is incredibly helpful since I have not been able to visit him due to the Pandemic lockdown. She has helped me to handle all of the things that it has taken to get him settled and adjusted to his new home. The FaceTime calls were especially impactful while he was in the observation neighborhood for the first two weeks.
Seeing the pictures of my dad involved in community activities and the various updates I hear from the staff fills my heart with happiness. My dad was a shell of himself in his previous facility. He spent every day for over four months wandering the hallways and asking when he could go home. Their approach to deal with this was to send him to a Psych Hospital to increase his medications and sedation. During his short time at Silverado Southlake, he has been more engaged in everyday activities and life as part of a community. Alzheimer’s is a cruel disease that takes away the life you once knew. Silverado Southlake is helping my dad to find meaning in a new way of life and allowed me to feel reassured that he is cared for and loved.
Words cannot express how grateful I am to Maria, Amber, Micah, Daisy, and every single staff member that treats my dad with dignity and respect every day. You are all amazing, and I cannot wait to meet you in person when this pandemic has passed. Please feel free to give my information out as a reference to anyone who is dealing with the difficult decision to move their loved one into a Memory Care facility and considering Silverado Southlake, I’ll be happy to share my experience!
