Patients with advanced COPD have unique needs secondary to this debilitating condition. To meet the needs of these patients and their families, Silverado has designed a program specific to the COPD population.

Patients diagnosed with severe lung disease with disabling shortness of breath and dependent upon oxygen as well as those requiring frequent hospitalizations are appropriate for this program.

Care includes aggressive symptom management, 24-hour clinical support, payment for medication, equipment and supplies as well as home visits by hospice team physicians.

One family member said, "Before we had Silverado Hospice, we were always taking Dad back and forth to the emergency room. Now, we get the support we need to manage Dad's shortness of breath and he gets to enjoy life at home".
