Sitting on the dock of the bay..
A quiet day in the sun at Burrough's Dock was the order of business when some of the residents headed out for a day of FISHIN! Some of the men, like Al, had been avid fishermen before coming home to Silverado.
Al's wife, who resides in an independent living community in The Woodlands, recalls that when she mentioned to her friends that Al was out fishing that day, they all looked a bit perplexed because of his wheelchair confinement and his dementia. Larita just smiled and explained that none of that had slowed him down since he moved to Silverado. She told them that he often goes out to lunch, plays ping pong, in addition to spending the day fishing.
And that is what we do, with pride, at Silverado. We enrich the lives of our residents, families and associates!
Testimonial: "The staff at Silverado are caring, compassionate and very well trained in dementia and Alzheimer's care."
