Lady is Back!
New to Silverado, one community’s playful and loving dog took off running down a nearby street. Silverado associates – on foot and by car— chased Lady until unfortunately they lost sight of her. Worried, the team headed back to the community.
Just 20 minutes later, shouts of joy could be heard from the entryway. A woman had found Lady, and thought the dog might belong to Silverado. Years ago, the woman's father lived at Silverado, and she remembered the compassionate pets who helped give life to residents. She had not been back to the community since her father passed, but had fond memories — especially of Culinary Director Pam Jones’ macaroni and cheese.
As it turned out, Pam had just served that same macaroni and cheese for lunch that day! The two enjoyed a happy reunion over that same delicious meal, demonstrating that once a family member becomes part of the Silverado family, they are always a part of it! (Especially when the mac and cheese is that good)!
Testimonial: "The staff at Silverado are caring, compassionate and very well trained in dementia and Alzheimer's care."
