Silverado Brookfield Delivers May Day Baskets to Neighbors

May Day was celebrated by some early European settlers of the American continent. In some parts of the United States, May baskets were made. These are small baskets usually filled with flowers or treats and left at someone's doorstep. The giver rings the bell and runs away. Although it was raining, we thought we would concur the elements and hang the baskets upon mailboxes. We brought the festivities to the Brookfield area to spread some May Day cheer!
