Silverado Oak Village recently hosted a Silverado State Fair Fundraiser to help raise money for the Alzheimer’s Walk! Our Helping Hands Nexus group made baked goods, wrapped and tagged them and sold bakery during the event.  The event itself consisted of entertainment, handing out cotton candy and cream puffs.

Our Family Ambassador, Laura Volz, and her husband, who is a Mounted Officer, brought in the horse that he uses to patrol the Wisconsin State Fair.  The residents were able to pet him and some of the children were even able to go on a short ride!

We also had a pie throwing contest where associates and families donated $1 to throw a whipped cream pie at the leadership member of their choice.  Everyone who attended had a blast and our residents just adored the horse.  Thanks to our attenddees' donations we have raised over $500 thus far!
