Wayne Sanner brings over 20 years of executive leadership experience in senior living and skilled nursing to his role as CEO Designate of Silverado. A seasoned operator and visionary leader, Wayne has built a reputation for scaling multi-site healthcare organizations, enhancing patient outcomes, and fostering purpose-driven cultures.
Prior to joining Silverado, Wayne served as Chief Operating Officer at Prestige Healthcare, overseeing 80 skilled nursing facilities across five states. There, he led a team of more than 10,000 and supported the care of 7,000 residents—driving operational excellence and strong clinical outcomes. His leadership career also includes COO roles at Cambridge Healthcare Services and Rockport Healthcare, and divisional presidency at Sava Senior Care, where he led one of the company’s highest-performing divisions.
Wayne is known for developing impactful service initiatives such as “Heart to Serve,” a culture-focused campaign that elevated care experiences while delivering consistent double-digit EBITDARM growth. A champion of servant leadership, he is deeply committed to building high-trust teams and helping individuals and organizations “discover, grow, transform, and thrive in their life’s purpose and passions.”
Wayne holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from California Baptist University, a Master’s in Organizational Performance & Change from Colorado State University, and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and History. He lives in Orange County, California with his family and is actively involved in community volunteerism, youth sports, and faith-based programs.
