Mending Heart
I took this photo while walking outside our community during a time when my best friend was in the hospital. As I looked down, I noticed the magenta center of the coleus leaf shaped like a broken heart, and I thought, that’s how I feel right now—but it’s still growing.
The bright color against the green reminded me that love doesn’t stop when life gets hard. If anything, it grows deeper, even in the midst of heartbreak.
