Vice President of Operations, Communities
Tana McMillon serves as Regional Vice President of Operations – Communities at Silverado, where she provides strategic and operational leadership across senior living communities. In this role, she partners closely with executive directors and regional leaders to drive operational excellence, strengthen leadership performance, and ensure exceptional quality of care aligned with Silverado’s mission and values.
Tana brings a hands‑on, people‑centered leadership approach with a strong focus on accountability, workforce development, and sustainable operational performance. She is known for balancing high expectations with empathy, supporting leaders through complex operational challenges while fostering a culture grounded in compassion, service recovery, and resident‑focused care.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Purdue University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Senior Housing and Hospitality at the University of Southern California (USC), further deepening her expertise in senior living operations, hospitality‑driven care models, and leadership development.
In addition to her operational leadership, Tana is a published children’s book author, reflecting her passion for storytelling, education, and human connection. She also serves on the California Assisted Living Association (CALA) Board and participates in the Argentum Executive Roundtable, contributing to industry dialogue, advocacy, and the advancement of best practices in senior living.
Based in Irvine, California at the Silverado Home Office, Tana works collaboratively across departments and regions to support Silverado’s long‑term growth, operational consistency, and commitment to excellence.
