Nexus at Silverado
Building Connections through Science and Social Engagements
Growing research shows that the onset of dementia can be delayed and the progression slowed through modifiable lifestyle factors. Our Nexus program targets those at the earliest stages of the disease process and provides physical activity, stress reduction, purposeful social clubs, cognitive compensation strategies, brain fitness, and a support group.
As a resident moves in to Silverado, each person is screened and encouraged to participate in the engagement activities that are appropriate for his/her cognitive and physical functioning levels. This new program offers those at the early stages of the disease process what others at Silverado are already experiencing.
