Born and raised in Africa, Bass discovered his passion for cooking at a young age, learning from his grandmother, who was known as the best cook in their community. Neighbors would line up to enjoy her meals, and he often helped her in the kitchen before heading off to school.
After moving to the United States, Bass decided to pursue a career in food service. Over the years, he has worked at various restaurant chains, honing his skills and expanding his culinary knowledge. Bass attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, and for the past 25 years, he has been dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors through excellent food service.
Bass nearly pursued a professional soccer career and is a proud father of two sons who have inherited his love for the game, and a daughter who is currently serving in the Peace Corps. His wife, also a chef, shares his passion for cooking, making cooking a true family affair.
