In a previous newsletter, we shared the very exciting collaboration we have made with Memory Air, offering these innovative devices as an ancillary service for residents living within our communities.
Olfactory stimulation has been found to improve memory and strengthen neural pathways in older adults and people living with dementia.
One area of research that has not yet been fully elucidated is the effect in older adults living with dementia of olfactory stimulation on areas such as falls, sleep and behavioral expressions. Within our communities these are areas that we already track. We will be using the data collected to prepare a white paper on what we have seen with our residents that are using Memory Air. The Leadership team of your community will be happy to share with you any information collected at your next care conference.
