Congratulations to Silverado Hermann Park’s James Foster on his 2024 TALA Hero Award

James celebrates his TALA Hero Award

Every year the Texas Assisted Living Association (TALA) recognizes care heroes who have gone above and beyond to make a difference for their residents, families and colleagues. Silverado Herman Park’s Director of Plant Operations James Foster was one of this year’s recipients, and we can’t think of anyone who is more deserving!

“James is amazing! I don’t know how he does it… He’s everywhere all the time and always has a wonderful smile,” shares Gigi McCorkle, Hermann Park’s Administrator. She adds “He responds to every resident and associate with a big smile and can-do spirit!”

James is frequently found leading our Nexus residents in woodworking clubs, taking residents to the home improvement store to pick out supplies for gardening clubs, or inviting a resident to join in on a maintenance project. Residents, families and associates love working with James because he wants to help everyone.  He’s an effective mentor, leader and overall kind person!

James has shared that what he likes most is helping people and working with his hands.  He is certainly in the right place because his joy shines through every day!
