Meet Our Team
Meet some of the Huntington's associates!
We would like you to meet some of the individuals who carry out Silverado's vision of enriching lives and delivering the utmost quality of care to residents and family members on a daily basis.
Rolando, Culinary Aide
Our longtime culinary aide Rolando, lovingly referred to as “Boy,” originally hails from the Philippines. His love radiates throughout the community; he has been known to stick around after his shift to entertain residents with his soulful singing. When Rolando performs, residents make their way to the front of the room to get a better seat. His list of top karaoke selections shows incredible range: he can go from Johnny Cash, Lionel Richie, Conway Twitty, to Madonna and Kenny Rogers. He often plays to the crowd, dressing up in a bolo tie and shoes. Rolando gives as much energy as if he was performing on a Las Vegas stage.
Yezenia “Jessi”, Activities
Jessi has been with Silverado The Huntington since 2003, but her experience with residents living with Alzheimer’s started many years ago. For over two decades, her mother was a cook at Ramona Care Center. The kitchen was connected to the Alzheimer’s unit, so, at an early age, Jessi and her siblings began spending time with the residents. Since her own grandparents lived back in Jalisco, Mexico, she wasn’t able to see them as much as she liked. Today, she likes to say she has 62 grandparents here at Silverado. Jessi excels at creating a high-energy environment, and creating a world where her residents feel comfortable.
Testimonial: "My parents have improved, both physically and cognitively, during their stay at the Huntington."
