Silverado’s 24-hour Live Chat and Hotline Receives Caregiver Friendly Award
By Silverado Staff Writer
Silverado's “24-Hour Live Chat and Hotline” will be recognized at this year’s Fearless Caregiver Conference for capturing a Caregiver Friendly Award in the category of Services that are designed to educate, inform, and inspire family caregivers.
“This award is designed to help family caregivers recognize and reward those organizations who will care for them in as committed a manner as they care for their loved ones,” explains Gary Barg, Today’s Caregiver magazine’s Editor-in-Chief.
Silverado’s 24-Hour Live Chat and Hotline is on online (or over-the-phone) resource that can be accessed by anyone around the world, at any time of day. Users may call or logon to speak with a trained professional about issues pertaining to Alzheimer’s and dementia care, in home care, hospice services and any other elder health issues.
Through the 24-Hour Live Chat and Hotline Silverado is able to promote best practices in senior care, in whichever form is most convenient to the user. We believe that educating individuals, families and caregivers is the first step to improving quality of care for seniors around the world. By empowering users with the knowledge of what is available we can support them in making educated and confident decisions concerning their own care or that of a loved one.
The Caregiver Friendly Awards are presented annually by Today’s Caregiver magazine to celebrate outstanding books, media, products and services created with the best interest of family caregivers in mind. The 2011 award presentation will mark the 10th anniversary of the coveted distinction.
