Our residents had an absolute blast this past week making homemade pizza and sharing their incredible travel memories! 🇮🇹🍕 As we kneaded dough and added toppings, stories of past adventures came to life. Many of our residents have traveled to Italy—and to our surprise, a few even lived there! The laughter, connection, and delicious pizza made it an unforgettable experience. Buon appetito! ❤️🇮🇹

Every year Silverado families are surveyed by U.S. News & World Report about their experience with us. Here are just a few comments shared by verified Silverado Berkeley family members when surveyed:

“Silverado has been a very good place for my mother. She gets the assistance and care she needs. She is in a safe place. The staff is kind and supportive. They are very patient and kind. I am grateful and appreciate everything they do for my mother.”

“Although my wife has only been a resident of Silverado for 3 months, I feel confident in their ability to manage her as she struggles with dementia. The staff have consistently shown caring consideration for her infirmity which has helped her become more integrated into her new community and facilitated social interaction with other residents. She doesn’t express reluctance to return to the facility when away & has stopped insisting that she be taken “home.” It’s very important that she feel safe & cared for & I feel that the staff & the facility have made that happen. That in turn makes her family feel that we have made the right decision in placing her at Silverado.”

“My brother is content at Silverado and it has become his home. He loves the freedom to walk around whenever he wants to and to sit in one of the courtyards in the sun. I’m very grateful how much they care about my brother and the other residents.”

“The move of a loved one to a memory care facility is a very difficult one. We feel so fortunate to have found caring, knowledgeable and kind partners in the leadership team and staff of Silverado Berkeley to accompany our mother (and us!) on this challenging journey for the best possible outcome.”

    Why choose Silverado?

Many families shared the peace of mind they experienced when they finally chose Silverado after wrestling with feelings of guilt that comes from deciding to reach out for help. Even a family working together cannot replicate what an expert team of professionals who do this for a living and get to go home at night and rest can provide. Even superhuman strength eventually gives out. Once families make a move to Silverado and see that their loved one is better off and they can sleep again, the common refrain is, “I should have moved my loved one in earlier.” They are relieved to be the daughter, son, husband, or wife again and not the caregiver.

We want to reassure you that we understand that no one knows your loved one more than you do. We are the experts in what we do, having led the way in memory care for over 20 years. Families have shared they recognized that a delay in placement is a delay in care in treating this illness, and we know that a delay can result in a dangerous crisis for the exhausted caregiver or your loved one. Do not wait for an emergency. We invite you to give us a call at (510) 841-4844 and schedule a time to visit Silverado Berkeley.

In fact, we’re so confident that Silverado is the best choice to provide for your loved one’s needs we offer a satisfaction pledge unequaled in memory care.

We look forward to meeting you soon.
