Every year Silverado families are surveyed by U.S. News & World Report about their experience with us. Here are just a few comments shared by verified Silverado Encinitas family members when surveyed:
“Silverado Encinitas is like no other memory care facility I have seen. When first looking for a place for my Mom, who was at that point in mid-stage dementia, we were looking at the traditional three-tiered models of living, Independent/Assisted/Memory Care. The memory care units in all of these places were depressing and seemed like afterthoughts. I then started investigating places that are strictly memory care. Some of these also felt a bit sad and lonely. Silverado has a completely different feel. The staff and residents all seem to enjoy each other. There are always people around, and there is always something going on. Beyond that, I’ve come to learn the training and dedication of the staff is excellent. After an initial period of adjustment, my mother has come to be very comfortable at Silverado. She truly loves the staff and considers some of the other residents her good friends. I know that she is safe, well cared for, and that all of her needs are met promptly and professionally. My only regret is not having her move in earlier in her disease process so she could have benefited from the Nexus program, which seems amazing.”
“Silverado has been providing care to not only my father, but my aunt as well. They are in different stages in their journey, and Silverado is attentive to each of their needs. I feel confident in their safety, medical treatment, and environment. Silverado offers a wide variety of meals to accommodate different dietary needs. The staff, nurses, and administration are transparent, knowledgeable, and friendly. They provide families with support in their family members treatment and care.”
“Our grandmother was a resident for the last few years of her life. The staff treated her like family. She was always well groomed and always busy with stimulating activities. When it was time to find a new home for our mother, there was no other place we trusted than Silverado.”
