Megan Fritz-Wash brings nearly a decade of experience in senior living, with a background that spans assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and hospice. She joined the Silverado Alexandria team in 2021, building on her strong foundation in therapeutic programming and community operations. Megan earned her Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from York College of Pennsylvania, where she first discovered her passion for serving older adults and their families.

Since joining Silverado Alexandria, Megan has held several leadership roles, including Nexus Program Director, Director of Resident Engagement, and Family Ambassador. Through these positions, she has developed a comprehensive understanding of resident-centered care, meaningful engagement, and the importance of strong family partnerships. Her leadership reflects Silverado’s commitment to providing enriching experiences and individualized support for those living with memory impairments.

Megan completed Silverado’s Administrator Leadership Training Program in 2023 and is a licensed Assisted Living Administrator through the Virginia Board of Long-Term Care Administrators. She is dedicated to delivering exceptional care while guiding families through every stage of the journey with compassion and transparency. Megan lives with her husband and two daughters and enjoys attending hockey games, exploring new restaurants, and taking family road trips.

Dr. Sinha is a board-certified physician with over 15 years of primary care and medical educator experience. He is also the co-founder and chief medical officer of Belleview Medical Partners, where he practices office-based and house-call medicine and telemedicine. He holds the position of physician consultant for the Alexandria City Public School System. Dr. Sinha is also the medical officer for Maryland’s Federal Disaster Medical Team, where he has been personally involved in the medical response for Presidential inaugurations, State of the Union addresses, and other national security events. He contributes monthly columns on medical topics for the Alexandria Times and has also served as a lecturer to Alexandria City Fire Department personnel.

Cindy Hardy, MSW, MDiv, is a Medical Social Worker specializing in geriatrics, chronic illnesses, cognitive impairment, palliative medicine, end-of-life care options, and grief. Before joining Silverado, she worked as an Aging Life Care Manager, in various positions concerning death and dying, and as a Hospital Chaplain. As Silverado’s Social Worker, Cindy is able to use all of her previous experiences in various forms of healthcare to benefit Silverado’s residents and families. In addition, she serves as Silverado’s in-house notary for the State of Virginia.

Cindy calls Northern Virginia home and lives with her husband, Floyd, and her Siberian Husky, Elsa.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, fishing, arts and crafts, writing, and conversations with a cup of tea.

Alexandra joined Silverado Alexandria with a strong passion for supporting individuals and families navigating memory care. With a background in healthcare recruitment and a degree from York College of Pennsylvania, she is proud to be part of a team dedicated to providing compassionate, specialized care for those living with memory impairment.

Alexandra’s connection to Silverado’s work is deeply personal. Having had family members who required memory care, she understands firsthand the emotions families experience when making decisions for a loved one. That experience continues to shape her commitment to offering guidance, support, and reassurance to families as they explore care options.

Outside of Silverado, Alexandra enjoys cooking for her friends and family, taking long walks with her dog Luna, and cheering on the New York Mets. She also loves to travel and hopes to one day visit every continent in the world.

Natasha “Tasha” Walters is a dedicated Community Sales Ambassador with 17 years of experience in the senior living industry, building meaningful connections and helping families navigate important life decisions with confidence and compassion. A proud mom of two sons, Tasha cheers on one who is currently in college (“Go Bulldogs!”) and another who keeps her busy in elementary school. An avid sports fan, she spends much of her free time supporting her favorite basketball and soccer players, her boys. When she’s not working or cheering from the sidelines, in her seldom free time she enjoys playing her guitar.

Quin brings a wealth of passion and senior living experience to Silverado. Having obtained her bachelor’s degree in health administration, she discovered her passion for enriching seniors’ lives during her academic journey.

Quin finds immense fulfillment serving seniors, and loves the diverse experiences with residents, both big and small. Her empathetic and patient approach enable her to build strong relationships and trust with both residents and their families. Listening to stories and engaging with residents in meaningful ways are integral aspects of her role at the community and displays her genuine desire to form deep connections.

Beyond Silverado, Quin’s life revolves around her family. She enjoys hitting the gym with her two younger boys, exploring the outdoors with her husband and dog, eating delicious food and cheering on her children at sporting events. Additionally, Quin has a daughter, who works in Assisted Living in Texas and a son serving in the U.S. Army.

Chef Lawrence Phelps is an award-winning culinary professional with more than 27 years of experience in the foodservice and hospitality industry. Throughout his career, he has developed a strong culinary background working in prestigious establishments, including the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, the U.S. House of Representatives, healthcare facilities, and government dining operations, where he has had the opportunity to prepare meals for a diverse range of guests.

A graduate of culinary school, Chef Lawrence earned his degree Magna Cum Laude, reflecting his dedication to culinary excellence and professional development. He is also the recipient of the 2021 Sodexo Platinum Award for Culinary Excellence and Leadership.

With a passion for cooking, mentorship, and creating memorable dining experiences, Chef Lawrence takes pride in bringing people together through food. He enjoys working with his hands, helping others, and sharing his knowledge and experience with those around him. Outside of the kitchen, Chef Lawrence enjoys watching football and spending time doing things that allow him to be creative and hands-on. He looks forward to bringing his experience, leadership, and passion for culinary excellence to his new role and becoming a valued member of the team.

Carlos, a native of Puerto Rico, moved to Northern Virginia in 2011. He has 20 years of experience in land surveying and property management. Carlos really enjoys fixing things; he is a car enthusiast and a mechanic at heart. He is passionate about problem-solving and caring for people. Carlos took an interest in eldercare when his father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Carlos played a big role in caring for his father and understands the challenges of caring for someone living with a memory-impairment. He is excited to use his property management expertise to carry out Silverado’s mission. Carlos keeps busy chasing after his daughter and loves that he can bring her to work with him! When he’s not spending time with his daughter, you can find him working on his 1973 Turbo Beetle Volkswagen.

Lydia joined Silverado Alexandria in 2020 as a Charge Nurse, where she quickly demonstrated her clinical expertise and deep compassion for residents living with dementia. Her dedication to providing exceptional care and supporting residents’ well-being led to her promotion to Assistant Director of Health Services in 2023. Today, Lydia continues to be an integral member of Silverado Alexandria’s clinical leadership team, helping ensure residents receive compassionate, person-centered care while supporting the associates who make that care possible.

Maria, born in Arecibo PR, moved to Baltimore, MD prior to Hurricane Maria striking the island in 2017. There, she worked as a groundskeeper for a property management company where she quickly excelled, gaining experience as an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor. Later, she was promoted to Maintenance Technician. She eventually began working for Silverado as a Maintenance Assistant before being promoted to Assistant Plant Ops Director. She expanded in her role by supporting sister communities in the East and Mid-West states. Her free time is taken up by her passion for exercise and her love for her two grandchildren who she visits three times a year in Puerto Rico.

Frances Fortune first joined Silverado as a receptionist with the Silverado Community of Frederick, Maryland in 2024. Coming from a background in retail management, she welcomed the transition into memory care as an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others. Her position offered her a great deal of joy and lit a passion for working with older adults. Given her love of people and affinity for helping others, she found a sense of fulfillment in her work that made her determined to continue in the field of memory care. She’s thrilled to have the opportunity to serve you as Silverado Alexandria’s Office Services Manager!

Frances is a certified cat person, hobbyist baker, and thrifting expert. She loves to broaden her horizons by traveling, expanding her already-eclectic taste in music, and trying new foods. Nothing can stand between her and a visit to the local bakery.
